KAMPALA — A quiet home in Bunga was plunged into horror before sunrise Thursday after two children were killed in a brutal attack that left three others injured and their Kenyan mother hospitalised under police guard.
The violence unfolded at about 4 a.m. at Kalungu Bunga, Ggaba Parish, Makindye Division, when a housemaid was alerted by an alarm and the cries of children coming from the main house.

Police said the maid’s discovery triggered an immediate emergency response and the opening of a murder, attempted murder and arson case.

The crime scene was subsequently secured as investigators began piecing together what happened inside the home.
