A gang of unknown thugs has killed Capt Mike Mukula’s elder cousin brother George Ekochu.
The gang is said to have waylaid Ekochu in Namugongo and killed him. His body was later recovered hours later.
The gang used a blunt object to hit Ekochu before strangling life out of him.
Available reports indicate that Ekochu was killed at about 8pm as he headed to the nearby shop to purchase items for home use.
The shop he had gone to buy the items was located near the Catholic Martyrs Shrine.
But his wife Jocelyn Ekochu realized something unusual after her husband delayed and didn’t return from the shop as expected.
It was not clear why Ekochu was killed but the thugs are thought to have expected to grab some money from Ekochu.
On searching along the path Ekochu had taken Jocelyn came across her husband’s hat. His body was later found in a plantation.
