SAD! FUFA Boss Dead

The second vice president of Uganda’s football body, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa), Darius Mugoye, has died.

Fufa confirmed the demise of Mugoye on November 7 morning shortly after doctors working on the football administrator confirmed that he had breathed his last.

Mugoye had been admitted at Mengo Hospital in the capital Kampala. It is at this health facility that he was pronounced dead.

“It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform the public, Delegates, Football Family and other stakeholders of the death of our second FUFA Vice President Mr Mugoye Darius that occurred this morning Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Mengo Hospital,” Fufa said in a statement.

“The official funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated later.”

Fufa did not divulge the cause of Mugoye’s death.

The death of Fufa Vice President Mugoye happened a few days after the powerful Moses Magogo-led federation hired Paul Put, a man who has previously been banned home and away for match fixing allegations, as Uganda Cranes head coach. (See Details Here).
