Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) President Patrick Oboi Amuriat has lost his sister Agnes Alupo.
According to FDC, Alupo died at the Mulago Cancer Institute.
“We send our heart felt condolences to the Party President Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat for the loss of his young sister Agnes Alupo who succumbed to Cancer at Mulago Cancer Institute,” said FDC in a mourning statement.
“We stand with the family in this trying moment.”
Alupo will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 26 at her ancestral home in Ajuket Village, Kanyumu in Kumi District.
The opposition party blasted government for not minding about the health sector, something the party says has led to the death of many people.
“Many Ugandans die every day due to Cancer related diseases. This is so because Government has completely neglected the health sector,” noted FDC in a statement.
“If Ugandans don’t wake up to demand for better services, more Alupos will keep loosing their lives.”
