Robert Kabushenga, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Vision Group, has resigned his job for personal reasons.
The Vision Group board has accepted Kabushenga’s request for early retirement, The New Vision, one of the publications under the country’s largest Media group, reported January 29.
Kabushenga broke news of his resignation in an email sent to staff hours ago.
“This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted,” Kabushenga wrote.
“I am proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in society. This was possible because we worked together as a team. For me, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to have done so.”
But the board tasked Kabushenga to ensure a smooth transition at the media group.
He will thus be associated with Vision Group for three more months.
