Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya has passed on, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party to which he belongs has announced.
NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine said Ssegirinya died in the morning of Thursday, January 09, 2025.
Bobi Wine described the death of Muhammad Ssegirinya as “a dark morning.”
“Very sad news this morning. Our brother, our friend, our fellow leader Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya has passed on. Such a dark morning,” wrote Bobi Wine.
Ssegirinya was pronounced dead at Rubaga Hospital in Kampala where he had been admitted.
He was a first term MP. He died at the age of 37.
Ssegirinya has been in and out of hospital. At one time he said he felt his life was fading away while Bobi Wine had asked Ugandans to keep him in their prayers. (See Details Here and There).
