PHOTOS: Ykee Benda Proposes to Girlfriend

Ugandan singer Wycliffe Tugume, popularly known as Ykee Benda, has proposed to his girlfriend Emilly. Ykee Benda proposed to Emily on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Now engaged, Ykee Benda and Emilly have been in a love relationship for some years.

The proposal was made at Divine Resort and Spa where friends to both Ykee Benda and Emilly were in attendance to witness the official engagement of the famous singer and his wife-to-be.

Ykee Benda went one his knee and asked Emilly to marry him. Emilly said Yes to the proposal and Ykee Benda put a ring on her finger, signaling how serious he is to making everything official.

“She said yes man….. God is good . The One,” wrote Ykee Benda after Emilly accepted his proposal. 

His friends started congratulating him and wishing him well on his next steps into marriage with Emilly.

Singer Ykee Benda, who runs Mpaka Records boss, made his relationship known to Ugandan fans a few years ago when he showered Emilly with praises.

“We spend our entire lives looking for that one thing or person that gives you purpose, a person you want to wake up to and tell all your troubles and all your wins,” Ykee Benda said of Emilly aka EMZ in 2023.

“A woman who loves God and treats everyone with kindness…your heart is just too pure…I celebrate you today and every other day. LOVE YOU EMZ.

It is said that Ykee Benda and Emilly plan to do all their marriage ceremonies — traditional and religious — in coming months.
