After almost three years of closure of the Katuna or Gatuna border, Ugandans, Rwandans and other travellers will be crossing through a border point with a new look.
When she first closed her border point with Uganda in February 2019, Rwanda said the main reason was to undertake renovation works on Katuna/Gatuna.
But later, it became clearer that the cold relations between the two nations also informed the closure of the border point.
After nearly three years of closure, the border point will be reopened.
The Pearl Times has broken the news of Rwanda’s announcement of the date for reopening of Katuna (Gatuna) border point. (Read full story here).
