Deputy Speaker Anita Annet Among has rubbished reports that her boss Jacob Oulanyah was dead.
As we reported recently, Oulanyah was flown out of the country to the US for specialized treatment. (Read Story Here).
Earlier today, deputy speaker Among finally spoke out on the health condition of Oulanyah, her boss. (Read Story Here).
Among (Bukedea DWR – NRM) would later tell MPs that she spoke to Oulanyah just before she chaired February 08 plenary session, confirming that the head of the legislative arm of government is still alive.
Describing the death rumors as ‘the work of the devil,” she said the speaker was “in good mood,” and needed to first rest.
Among added that Oulanyah had sent his message of love to his colleagues.
“Forget about what is on social media. I spoke to the Right Honorable Jacob right before I came to the House. He is in a good mood. He told me and said tell them that ‘I love them,” said Among.
“So, this lugambo [rumor] on social media about R.I.P Oulanyah, it is all the work of the devil which we cannot allow. The 11th Parliament is not for the devil’s work. So, let him first rest. We need him to recover; he is still the Speaker of Parliament for 10 years.”
