For the last couple of days, social media has been awash with a trending video of a former district chairman sleeping with a married MP while recording himself on live camera.
In the video that has since been shared widely, and seen by this News Website, the man we have verifiably identified to be the former Kamuli District LC 5 chairman to as Thomas Kategere is seen making love to a woman who couldn’ttt be reliably identified.
Sources privy to the story have widely claimed that the female in the video is the current Kamuli Municipality MP Baroda Watongola Kayanga. We could however not prove the identity of the woman alleged to be Ms Baroda.
The incident has since stirred a storm in Busoga due to the fact that the two politicians are married. This means their affair is an adulterous one.
Mr Kategere was Chairman LCV for Kamuli from 2016 to 2021.
He however opted against seeking reelection in 2021.
He instead challenged and lost to Maurice Kibalya in Bugabula South.
Baroda on the other hand is daughter to deceased former Kamuli Municipality MP Rehema Watongola who succumbed to COVID19 in November last year.
She was voted in her mother’s place in the January 14 parliamentary elections, defeating NRM’s Madituula Namatovu and NUP’s Moses Bigirwa.
