Former NTV Uganda Presenter Robin Kisti is not happy that NBS TV gave Sheila Gashumba, and not her, a job at the station’s After5 show.
NBS TV recently unveiled Sheila Gashumba as its latest addition to an already packed After5 crew.
Robin Kisti, who had applied for the same job and even sent in a recording to prove her potential, has now accused NBS TV of rejecting her because she supports opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) led by singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
“Mbu it’s because the TV [allegedly] belongs to Natasha Museveni, so they won’t hire me because I am a Bobi Wine fan. Too bad because I will support NUP till I die, TV or no TV!” tweeted Robin Kisti.
Insisting the process had been politicized, Robin Kisti made it clear she was better than Sheila Gashumba.
“At least I know she is not better than me. It’s showbiz and they chose one with a better following. On to the next because I will always be the best. Upset but talent speaks for itself. It’s politics out there!” nshe complained.
She went on to accuse NBS TV of conducting the recruitment process just for formality, alleging that the station had already zeroed down on Sheila Gashumba.
“Why make people do videos to compete in a race that was not there. It is misleading to the viewers and is not right. You knew you already had your person but still played with us. Call me bitter but y’all took it too far and I didn’t need to be part of that!” Robin Kisti went on.
“It’s different applying for a position and not get, from being made to think you are interviewing for a job that they already knew was taken. Understand that, jobs are everywhere, even Youtube and Tik Tok pay, just don’t manipulate people.”
