Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Naggayi’s husband Isaac Sempala collapsed on March 12 as the legislator sought to evict him from their home in Buziga to recover Prof Venansius Baryamureeba’s Shs800m.
Nabilah had secured help of police officers who drove four pickups to Buziga’s Katuso Close to evict Sempala.
Over a week ago, Makindye Chief Magistrates’ Court Grade One Magistrate Lorna Tukundane had issued orders to Sempala to stay away from the premises comprised in LVR 4004 Folio 8 Kyadondo Block 273 Plot 5 Katuso Close at Buziga in Kampala.
Magistrate Tukundane had issued the orders after Nabilah claimed Sempala had returned home in 2020 only to assault her maid a one Eng Jacob Imbo, and also slap the MP in public.
Nabilah had claimed “Sempala’s actions have threatened my safety, life, health and wellbeing.”
Tukundane expects Sempala in court on March 19 to answer charges of domestic violence.
So, riding on Magistrate Tukundane’s orders, Nabilah had sought to throw Sempala out of the Buziga home.
But when police arrived at Buziga to evict Sempala, the MP’s enstranged husband collapsed.
His relatives rushed him to Mukwaya General Hospital for medical attention.
