Kisitu Kirabo
Kampala — Ugandan socialite Kisitu Kirabo has offered some more details on her leaked videos and images, emphasizing that the content is old and that she has undergone significant personal growth. She also spoke of her resilience and the resolve to move forward.
Kirabo described the material as stemming from eight years ago, noting that she no longer resembles the person in those recordings. “You won’t drag me with very old stuff please, I don’t even look the same anymore,” she previously shared, urging the public to stop viewing and sharing the content out of basic human decency.
Kirabo expressed regret for the embarrassment caused to her family, loved ones, and professional circles, while condemning the unauthorized distribution of her material.
Amid the backlash and support from fans, Kirabo turned the moment into a teachable one for other young women. In her “sis-to-sis” advice, she offered practical guidance on protecting personal privacy:
“Sis to sis: Use guided access to lock that phone before you give it to a mechanic to work on it or else you’ll learn the hard way.”
The advice has been interpreted as a cautionary tale drawn from her experience — highlighting risks when handing over unlocked devices for repairs or servicing.
Kisitu Kirabo has also spoken of resilience amidst challenges.
“I’ve been knocked down, tested, and challenged by things that would break most people. But here I am—still standing, still breathing, still rising,” she wrote.
“That past situation? It didn’t break me. I won’t let a story from 2018 define me. It forged me. Every scar is proof of my strength, every tear taught me resilience I never knew I had. I’m not defined by what tried to destroy me. I’m defined by the fire I walked through and came out the other side stronger.”
She added: “No setback, no heartbreak, no darkness gets to pull me down anymore. I’m too powerful, too focused, and too full of purpose to let yesterday steal my tomorrow. Watch me shine brighter than ever. This chapter is mine.”
Kirabo’s response on her ‘obutambi’ has sparked broader conversations in Uganda about digital privacy, revenge, and the long-term consequences of content falling into the wrong hands. Supporters have praised her resilience and maturity in owning the situation without letting it define her current life, while calling for an end to the spread of such leaks.
As the story continues to trend alongside similar incidents involving other public figures, Kirabo is encouraging focus on personal growth, empathy, and responsible online behavior. She continues her work and public life, reminding everyone that past moments do not represent who she is today.
