Muhoozi: They Cheated Me on My First Book

First son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has revealed that he was cheated when he published his first book over a decade ago. President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s son now says he wants to do another ‘Muhoozi book.’

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s book was published about 14 years. It was titled ‘Battles of the Ugandan Resistance: A Tradition of Maneuver.’

It was published by Fountain Publishers, which has published a good number the books by the first family members and prominent politicians, educationists and successful businesspeople.

The first son says he wants to do independent publication of his new book, publishing and marketing its copies individually.

The reason he wants to go self-publishing is because he feels that he was cheated on his first publication and hopes to do a better job on his book project when it comes to the amount of money it will bring to him.

“I last wrote a book 14 years ago. I’m writing a second book about my entire life up to this point. First of all, I shall publish and market it myself. I was cheated the last time,” he claimed.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has also started seeking ideas on the title of the book he wants to release. “Secondly, I want proposals for a good name from all of you,” he noted.

The current Muhoozi book told a story of his life until 14 years ago. From its publication time until today, the first son has changed, with Ugandans picking interest in him, especially given the talk about him being the country’s crown prince, the man chosen to succeed his father Museveni, who has so far ruled Uganda for nearly four decades in a row.

Muhoozi recently announced he would not run for president in 2026. He has also said that no civilian will succeed his father Museveni, stoking criticism. The first son also reportedly reconciled with his brother-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo. (Read Details Here, There and Over There).
