‘Muhoozi Must go to Luzira Prison or Be Sent to Rwakitura to Graze His Father Museveni’s Cows’ — Fearless Ssemujju Strikes Again

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) says first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba “should be dismissed from UPDF with disgrace.”

Speaking at the party’s headquarters on Monday, October 10, FDC spokesperson and Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda described Gen Muhoozi was a “spoilt son” to Uganda’s President Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.

Ssemujju also described Muhoozi’s careless tweeting as an act of “indiscipline.”

“His [Museveni’s] spoilt son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba who until last week was commander of the country’s land forces, repeatedly and unprovoked insulted Kenya in several of his tweets. He tweeted that he can capture Nairobi in one week.

“He later suggested that his ‘great father’ should be the president of East Africa and that the Kenyan President should be his deputy. That the President of Rwanda is only fit to be minister in that government of East Africa led by his father. The FDC President Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat spoke about this indiscipline and we hereby re-iterate our strong objection to this [kind of behaviour].”

Ssemujju said that Muhoozi should be arraigned before a military court and dismissed from the national army over indiscipline.

“The FDC wants Muhoozi Kainerugaba to be court-martialed, dismissed from the army with disgrace and sent to Luzira. That is what section 145 of the UPDF Act on Scandalous behavior by officers says: 145 (1): An officer  who behaves in a scandalous manner  unbecoming of an officer, commits an offense and is, on conviction, liable to suffer dismissal from the Defence Forces with or without disgrace,” ,” said the party’s spokesperson.

“145 (2): For purposes of this section, “scandalous conduct” means the personal conduct of an officer which is generally against public order, expectations and morality, whether or not the conduct directly or indirectly affects others. The law is very clear. This is scandalous behavior.

Ssemujju further noted that Museveni “went against the spirit of the law” by promoting his son who exhibited indiscipline, and further warned that “this precedent of rewarding misconduct, will now be used by others.”

The Kira Municipality MP hinted on FDC’s plan to drag Museveni and his son to court. “The FDC might be tempted to seek judicial review of Muhoozi treatment/promotion after his scandalous behavior,” revealed Ssemujju, before advising the president to hire his son as a manager for his farm.

“Mr. Museveni is a good herdsman. Why doesn’t he employ his son at one of his farms if he thinks he is a very good manager?”

This is not the first time Ssemujju Nganda is fearlessly firing at Museveni and Muhoozi.

In May 2022, Ssemujju told Museveni to give his son and wives the list of his properties before he dies, making it clear to the the elderly Museveni that Ugandans would not allow Muhoozi to inherit Uganda from his father. (Read Story Here).

Meanwhile, Muhoozi has been decorated as a full UPDF general at a pipping ceremony presided over by his uncle Gen Salim Saleh. (Read Story Here).
