Second deputy prime minister Gen Moses Ali’s wife Sarah Ali is dead, the office of the prime minister (OPM) has announced.
Doctors at Medipal Hospital Kampala pronounced Sarah Ali dead at 4pm on Monday, January 08, 2024.
Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja confirmed Sarah Ali’s death but did not give details on the cause of her death.
“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of Mrs Sarah Ali, wife to Rt. Hon Gen (retired) Moses Ali, the second deputy prime minister and deputy leader of government business in parliament,” she said.
On Monday, a night vigil happened at Sarah Ali and Moses Ali’s home at Naalya Estate, located along Paul Kasule Road.
Family and friends will transport Sarah Ali’s body to Adjumani on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Mourners will lay Sarah Ali’s body to rest in the afternoon of Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
