Man sells Nsenene or grasshoppers on Uganda Airlines
Kampala City Traders Association (Kacita) has identified the man in the viral Uganda Airlines Nsenene vending business as Paul Mubiru.
According to Kacita chairperson Thaddeus Musoke, Mubiru is a purchasing agent.
Musoke says Mubiru was headed to Dubai to purchase goods for his clients when he decided to vend nsenene.
Mubiru is also a transporter who delivers goods to a few city Traders.
According to Musoke, a meeting would be held to discuss Mubiru’s unethical behavior.
“It’s very unfortunate for such unprofessional act. We are very shocked by Mubiru’s action because he’s trying to shame our Airlines,” said Musoke.
“As the business community, the airline has tried to ease our travel outside Uganda and facilitated our business. We strongly condemn all unbecoming behaviors which can taint the image of our national carrier.”
In a statement on the viral Nsenene Vendor video, Uganda Airlines said it was considering adding grasshoppers to its menu.
