Police chief Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola has spoken out on the sudden death of his deputy Maj Gen Paul Lokech.
The UPDF confirmed the death of Lokech on August 21.
According to Uganda Police Force, the deputy IGP “passed on from his home this morning.”
Now, IGP Ochola has ordered Police director of medical services Dr Moses Byaruhanga to probe what killed Maj Gen Lokech.
A postmortem report is expected soon.
:With deep sorrow I regret to announce the sudden death of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Paul Lokech,” tweeted Ochola.
“I have tasked the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Moses Byaruhanga to carry out postmortem to establish the cause of death.”
