Education Service Commission Permanent Secretary Asuman Lukwago
The Education Service Commission (ESC), under the Ministry of Education and Sports, has released the names of teachers who passed competence tests for secondary headtacher jobs, and the schedule for oral interviews.
Oral interviews will be the last hurdle after which the Education Service Commission will hire successful new secondary headteachers.
The shortlisted candidates responded to advert No. 2 of 2025. They did a competence test on May 2025.
Those who ‘passed’ the competence test will now do oral interviews next week in Kampala.
“The secretary, Education Service Commission (ESC) informs applicants for the post of headteacher, government secondary education, who did competence test on 20th May 2025 that oral interviews will be conducted on 4th – 5th June 2025 as per attached interview schedule,” announced Education Service Commission Permanent Secretary Dr Asuman Lukwago.
“Candidates should carry along with them originals of their academic/professional certificates and transcripts, employment related records plus national identity card.”
Dr Lukwago further informed candidates to appear as scheduled, adding that “requests for rescheduling will not be accepted.”
“Those whose names do not appear on the shortlist should consider themselves unsuccessful for the posts above,” he added.
He also noted that all services by the Education Service Commission are free of charge.
Previously, there have been allegations of Education Service Commission officials selling government jobs starting for Shs2m, which claims the ESC has dismissed, as reported Here.
