LIST: See Names of Opposition’s New Parliament Bosses (Committees and Fora) as Joel Ssenyonyi is Re-Appointed LOP

Main opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) has released the names of opposition’s new parliament bosses (Committees and fora) as Joel Ssenyonyi is re-appointed LOP (Leader of the Opposition in Parliament of Uganda). 

In new changes approved the NUP NEC, the party also appointed Manjiya County MP John Baptist Nambeshe as a Commissioner in Parliament. Nambeshe has been the opposition chief whip. 

The opposition party picked Jinja South East MP Paul Mwiru to serve as Opposition Chief whip. Mwiru was the NUP’s speaker candidate but lost to Jacob Oboth Oboth, as reported Here

 Patrick Nsamba (Kassanda North): Chairperson of Parliamentary Accounts Committee

Sarah Lwaansula (Jinja City Woman MP): Deputy Chairperson of Parliamentary Accounts Committee

Muwada Nkunyingi (Kyadondo East MP): Chairperson of Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises

George Musisi (Kira Municipality MP): Deputy Chairperson of Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises

Betty Nambooze Bakireke (Mukono Municipality MP): Chairperson of Local Government Committee

Abed Nasser Mudiobole: Deputy Chairperson of Local Government Committee

Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality MP): Chairperson of Government Assurances Committee

Anna Adeke Ebaju: Deputy Chairperson of Government Assurances Committee

  1. Brenda Nabukenya: Interparliamentary Union
  2. Joan Namutawe (Masaka district woman MP): Representative for Caribbean Parliamentary Assembly
