A number of president’s Office and State House staff are some of the most highly paid staff in Uganda, a list obtained by The Pearl Times indicates. The list we present to you in this report has names of most highly paid Museveni State house employees earning between Shs30m and Shs10m.
State House and President’s Office have employ about 3000 staff, according to records seen by The Pearl Times.
The three most highly paid State House staff are those working on President Museveni’s air transport. They are: Chief Pilot Brian Wegoye earning a cool Shs30m every month, followed by Chief Engineers Peter Ndi Yobo and Peter Galguo earning Shs29m every month.
They are followed by presidential helicopter captains Charles Okidi and Hussein Waiswa, each earning Shs28m.
These are followed by Assistant Private Secretary Justine who gets Shs28m; Senior Presidential Advisor for lnvestments Susan Kageye and Senior Presidential Advisor for Political Affairs, who earn Shs24m, each.
The list also includes notable names like Proscovia Nalweyiso, former Electoral Commission (EC) chairman Badru Kiggundu.

Meanwhile, arts teachers say they will go on strike next week if their salaries are not raised to Shs4m a month. President Museveni has previously told them that Shakespeare’s plays do not heal dying patients. (See Details Here and There).
