Artistes and other creatives in the arts and motion domain (music, film and video) were today awarded in the inaugural edition of the Janzi Awards.
This was the second day of the Janzi awards gala.
The guest of honor at today’s award ceremony was government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa (Ruhinda North – NRM).
“The government is setting up 21 industrial parks and I will talk to [the president] so that we dedicate one to the creative industry,” said Tayebwa in his remarks at the event held at the Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala.
Worth the mention among today’s winners was gospel singer Levixone who won both the outstanding faith based musician award and the humanitarian award.
