The Education Service Commission (ESC), under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), has released the list with names of teachers and non-teaching staff appointed for government payroll jobs for Bunyoro seed schools.
Weeks ago, the Education Service Commission (ESC) shortlisted over 3800 teachers (graduates – referred to as education officers – EO and diploma holders or assistant education officers – AEO) as well as non-teaching staff like enrolled nurses, laboratory assistants, library assistants, stenographer secretaries and senior accountant assistants, for aptitude tests for government payroll jobs in seed secondary schools in Tooro and Bunyoro regions.
The over 3800 shortlisted candidates did aptitude tests under Clusters 6 and 7, (Tooro and Bunyoro), under the recruitment exercise for teachers and non-teaching staff for secondary seed schools under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIFT).
The ESC then shortlisted teachers and non-teaching staff for oral interviews. Now, based on the results from the oral interviews and the entire recruitment process, the ESC has released the list of successful candidates for the positions of teachers and non-teaching staff for Bunyoro seed schools.
Each of these schools will have a headteacher, a deputy headteacher, teachers for both graduate and diploma levels (education officer and assistant education officer), a bursar, an enrolled nurse, a stenographer secretary, a laboratory assistant and a library attendant, according to information obtained by The Pearl Times.
Each school gets about 30 staff, both teaching and non teaching staff. All of these are being recruited by the Education Service Commission.
The Bunyoro seed schools include St Mugagga Seed SS Kibaale, Kihungya Seed SS Buliisa, Kyangwali Seed SS Kikuube, Kidukuru Seed Secondary School Hoima, King Solomon Seed Secondary School Kagadi, and Kitegwa Community Seed Secondary School Kagadi.
