Candidates who sat Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams last year, in the second cohort of the new lower secondary curriculum, posted better results than the inaugural batch. In this report on best UCE 2025 schools per region of Uganda. We break down the analysis to sub regions.
The lists include best UCE schools sub region. The sub regions include Ankole, Buganda, Busoga, Tooro, Bunyoro, Rwenzori, Kigezi, Bukedi, Teso, Elgon (Bugisu), and Karamoja.
Also included are best UCE 2025 schools for the sub regions of Lango, Acholi, West Nile and Teso.
Regarding the formula. The best UCE 2025 schools per region are those which have the biggest percentage of their candidates with As and Bs in the compulsory subjects.
So, the number of As and Bs is added, divided by the number of scores the class population should have and multiplied by 100 (per cent).
The higher the rate of As and Bs, the higher the ranking of the school in the district and region.
