Former police and army chief Gen Edward Katumba Wamala underwent surgery at Medipal International Hospital in Kampala June 01 evening.
The operation followed a morning shooting at Kisota Road in Bukoto-Kisaasi.

Now, the outgoing works minister says his “injuries are not alarming.”
He adds that one of the bullets lodged into his body during the assassination attempt is yet to be removed out.
“I had surgery last evening, and one of the bullets was removed,” said the general.
“However, because of how the other bullet affected my arteries, it was not removed, and the doctors will advise on the way forward.”
