Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Defence Minister, Army Chief of Staff Killed in US-Israel Strikes
Iran Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in air strikes by Israel and the US. Also killed in US-Israel Strikes were defence minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and chief of staff Lt. Gen Abdolrahim Mousavi.
Lt Gen Mousavi had been in charge since June 2025 after his predecessor perished during the 12-day conflict.
Also confirmed dead is the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, General Mohammad Pakpour.
Iran state media also confirmed the death of Khamenei’s daughter, son-in-law and grandchild.
It is believed that about 40 Iranian officials died in the strikes.
Iran is retaliating to the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with strikes targeting US military bases and Israel.
