Anderson Burora
Suspended Deputy Resident City Commissioner (D-RCC) for Rubaga Herbert Anderson Burora has claimed that some people are plotting to end his life and to thereafter cover up.
Weeks ago, the presidency suspended Burora for reportedly criticizing Parliament of Uganda and its speaker Anita Annet Among over corruption. For demanding for accountability via social media where the Uganda Parliament Exhibition was underway, the presidency suspended Burora.
The suspension happened after Speaker Anita Among met President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni at State House Entebbe. The speaker reportedly required Burora to apologize to her and to stop exposing her and the alleged corruption, abuse of funds and extravagance by the country’s legislative arm of government.
But Burora refused to apologize, prompting the presidency to suspend him. He has since handed over office to an acting D-RCC. Now, Burora says his life is in danger.
“Despite the various threats over my life, I’ve already paid and willing to pay more costs,” he revealed, adding that he did not want “to disclose what is going on at the moment.”
“There comes a time when to live and to die both don’t make sense that whatever comes, is welcome.”
He has also said that in case he suddenly dies, Ugandans should ask tough questions on the cause of his death. He hinted on a heart attack, multiple organ failure, and an accident as part of the plot that his enemies could be plotting to use to end his life and explain his death.
“Two things should never make sense if I die. a) Never believe that I died of a heart attack, neither multiple organs Failure. b) If it’s ever an accident, let circumstances under which it happened be queried,” he said.
Some prominent Ugandans such as ASP Muhammad Kirumira have died under mysterious circumstances months after informing the country that their lives were in danger.
With Burora refusing to apologize and therefore winning himself a suspension, the presidency has revealed what punishments await the former deputy RCC. (See Details Here and There).
