I Last ‘Touched’ My Wife in 2009: ‘Starving’ Ugandan Bishop Cries Out Over ‘Togikwatako’ in Bedroom

Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja of the Orthodox Anglican Church in Uganda has revealed that he last touched his wife in 2009, revealing challenges in their marriage.

Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja is aged 68. A resident of Kyotera District, Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja is a school proprieter and owner of several properties.

He has been married to his wife Zawedde for about 40 years.

He is a father to six children.

The cleric claims that his wife connived with their children to steal his properties. He alleges that for some of these properties, he is no longer in possession of their titles.

Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja also says that his children and their mother are hatching a plan to ensure that he is declared mentally unsound so that he can be admitted at Butabika Mental Hospital to allow them sell off his properties.

Kateregga also claims that he was chased from his marital home, and he now stays in a room in one of his schools.

The bishop says he last touched his wife Zawedde in the year 2009, comparing his marital life to that of a Catholic priest or nun.

With about 15 years of some kind of ‘togikwatako’ campaign in his bedroom, Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja says he is tired of the suffering meted against him, and is now seeking justice.

Kateregga says he has come out to encourage other servants of God and men suffering in their families and homes to speak out.

He says some of the bishops put up deceptive appearances in public but are suffering at home.

Rather than endure suffering for the sake of keeping their images and that of the church institutions they represent, Bishop Cornelius Kateregga Bakubanja says clerics should come out and join him to seek justice.
