Hundreds of Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff DIRECTLY Shortlisted for Oral Interviews for Government Seed School Payroll Jobs (West Nile)

Several Other Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Will Proceed to Oral Interviews after Passing Aptitude Tests

Hundreds of teachers and non-teaching staff who have been shortlisted for government payroll jobs in seed schools at secondary level in West Nile (Cluster nine) will not be subjected to aptitude tests but will go straight to oral interviews, the Education Service Commission (ESC) under first lady Janet Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports has indicated.

The ESC has released the shortlist for candidates who qualified for aptitude tests under cluster nine or West Nile.

The shortlist includes candidates who emerged successful from the thousands of teachers and non-teaching staff who responded to ESC Advert No. 4/2024 issued on December 23, 2024 for the posts of teaching staff or teachers – Education Officer (EO), and Assistant Education Officer (AEO); as well as Non-teaching Staff (NTS): Senior Accountant Assistant (SAA), Nurses, Stenographer Secretaries, Library Assistants and Laboratory Assistants.

While the Education Service Commission has released the names of centres and dates for aptitude tests in its schedule, some candidates who have made the shortlist have been exempted and will only wait for oral Interviews (and the shortlist for the same).

The ESC will make another shortlist from the group doing their aptitude tests this week.

The list of successful applicants who will be shortlisted for oral interviews is expected before the Easter break, The Pearl Times has learnt.

“[That shortlist] will also include names of applicants directly shortlisted for oral interviews for different subjects in different schools under cluster 9 whose ratios did not require aptitude testing,” said ESC secretary Dr Asuman Lukwago.

At Kwera Seed SS Yumbe, candidates shortlisted for jobs as education officers for Physical Education and Fine Art will only be subjected to oral interviews.

Candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Kiswahili, English and Mathematics for the same school will also only be subjected to oral interviews.

At Drajini Hill Seed SS Yumbe, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Chemistry and Physical Education will only be subjected to oral interviews as will be candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for English, Chemistry and Kiswahili.

At Ndhew Seed SS Nebbi, candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Kiswahili will only be subjected to oral interviews and so will be those shortlisted for library assistant, stenographer secretary and laboratory assistant jobs.

At All Saints Seed SS Maracha, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Biology, History, Political Education, Physical Education, Fine Art and ICT (Computer) will only be subjected to oral interviews, and so will be candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Kiswahili and Geography as well as candidates shortlisted for library assistant jobs.

For Gopele Seed SS, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Chemistry, History, Political Education, Physical Education, ICT (Computer) and Fine Art; candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Chemistry, Mathematics, Kiswahili and Business Education; as well as those shortlisted for stenographer secretary and library assistant jobs will all only be subjected to oral interviews.

For St Peter’s Seed SS Arua, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Chemistry, Physics, History, Political Education and Mathematics; candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Chemistry, Mathematics and English; as well as stenographer secretary, laboratory assistant and library assistant jobs will all only be subjected to oral interviews.

For Nyakaliso Seed SS Koboko, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Mathematics, English, Biology, History, Political Education, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Physical Education, ICT (Computer) and Fine Art; candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Kiswahili and Business Education; as well as those shortlisted for senior accounts assistant, stenographer secretary and laboratory assistant will all only be subjected to oral interviews.

For Arinyapi Seed SS Adjumani, candidates shortlisted for education officer jobs for Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Political Education, Physical Education, ICT (Computer), Agriculture, and Fine Art; candidates shortlisted for assistant education officer jobs for Mathematics, English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Kiswahili, History/Political Education, Business Education and Geography; as well as those shortlisted for laboratory assistant and library assistant jobs will all only be subjected to oral interviews.
