Guns from Israel were found in Anita Among’s homes, reports indicated.
Hitherto Speaker of the 11th Parliament, Anita Among is currently under investigation over money laundering and illicit enrichment.

Her homes in Nakasero and Kigo were search for many hours before detectives also carried out a search at her office at parliament as well as that of clerk to parliament Adolf Mwesige Kasaija.
Security agencies are yet to fully issue a report on the investigations into Anita Among’s world.
On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, first son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba said he would soon issue a report on the properties recovered, hinting on a decision to auction what has been recovered and is believed to be proceeds of corruption and illicit accumulation of wealth.
A security source has told government newspaper The New Vision that unregistered weapons were found in Anita Among’s homes.
The weapons, the source further revealed to the government owned publication, were manufactured by Israel.
“This is the first speaker who has amassed so much wealth in the shortest time,” the source was quoted as telling the government newspaper.
“It was the weapons that raised the deepest alarm. A number of firearms were retrieved from her residences, reportedly traced to Israel as the country of manufacture. Some of the weapons are registered, whereas others are not.”
But Uganda Law Society (ULS) president Isaac Ssemakadde was skeptical about the discovery inof firearms in Anita Among’s residences, recalling how guns were found in the hotel room of National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine in Arua years ago.
“The same way Guns were found in Bobi Wine’s apartment in Arua,” recalled Ssemakadde.
“I have lived long enough to understand how they operate.”
Meanwhile, Anita Among had reportedly plotted to impeach, remove and succeed Museveni in 2031. (See Details Here).
