Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, Uganda’s President and Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has promoted nearly 500 officers.
Museveni promoted 469 and confirmed 28 Senior and Junior officer ranks of the national army.
In a statement issued by UPDF and Defence Spokesperson Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye, the names of 39 senior officers who were promoted by Gen Museveni were released.
“The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and UPDF fraternity congratulate the Senior and Junior Officers upon their well-deserved promotions and confirmed ranks,” added Brig Kulayigye.
