First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba Starts Beauty Contest Between Rwanda & Uganda; Declares Wife Charlotte Winner

 

Tweeting general Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son to President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni and Commander Land Forces, is not about to stop expressing his views and engaging his followers.

Lt Gen Kainerugaba is considered a key player in the Rwanda-Uganda deal, thanks to his meeting with President Paul Kagame which paved way for the reopening of the Katuna (Gatuna) border point after almost three years. (Read story here).

Now, Kagame is calling for strengthening of relations between the two brotherly countries.

He is also trying to unite the two countries online.

Instead of the two nations going to war, Kainerugaba has proposed, Kigali and Kampala should battle it out in a beauty contest.

“The only war we want between Uganda and Rwanda is a battle between our women to decide who is the most beautiful! We should have that competition annually. With prizes,” wrote the first son.

Kainerugaba has also appointed two judges, including Arinaitwe Rugyendo of Red Pepper.

“I wish both sides the best of luck in this small battle of Ugandan and Rwandan beautiful women. I appoint @RugyendoQuotes and @rufagari as judges. Let them give us the results soon,” tweeted the man charged with advising his father on special operations.

Midway the Twitter contest, Kainerugaba declared his wife the winner, leaving some wondering how an election under President Muhoozi Kainerugaba would look like.

“Gentlemen and ladies I can see the battle really heating up. That’s okay. @RugyendoQuotes and @rufagari will tell us the winners but just for the sake of clarity my winner is always my wife Charlotte Kainerugaba.”
