First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has mourned fallen Prince Philip, recalling the time he first met him.
Prince Philip dies on Friday, April 09, at the age of 99.
Lt Kainerugaba has paid tribute to Prince Philip and sent condolences to the Queen on the death of her husband.
“Condolences to HM Queen Elizabeth II, the people of the UK and the Commonwealth on the passing of HRH Prince Philip,” wrote the first son.
Kainerugaba, also his father President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s senior advisor on special operations, described his meeting with Prince Philip as a “fortune.”
Just over two decades ago, Kainerugaba was at Sandhurst for military training, and the Prince visited.
“I had the good fortune of meeting Prince Philip 21 years ago at Sandhurst when he visited us,” recalled the first son.
“He was an exemplar of duty and service. May his soul rest in peace.”
