Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
First son and Commander Land Forces (CLF) Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has told Uganda’s enemies, including the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels, that they cannot survive when the revolutionary power of the people is mobilized.
At the end of last month, Ugandan national army, the UPDF, and Congolese FARDC launched attacks on ADF camps in eastern DR Congo.
The raid followed terrorist bomb attacks masterminded by ADF, the Central African branch of the Islamic State (IS).
The UPDF and FARDC joint forces have been making gains in their efforts to dismantle ADF in recent weeks.
On Christmas Eve, joint forces took over Kambi ya Yua, believed to have been the headquarters of ADF.
“On the 24th of Dec 2021 the joint forces of UPDF and FARDC completely secured Kambi ya Yua,” confirmed Lt Gen Kainerugaba. “Kambi ya Yua was the HQs of the terrorist organisation ADF.”
The first son and CLF attributed the gains in the assault against ADF on the power of the people.
“The terrorists fled before our troops. No one can stand before the revolutionary power of the people! God bless DRC and Uganda,” noted Kainerugaba.
