First son Muhoozi Kainerugaba breaks silence on sickness, death rumors

First son and new Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has spoken out on reports he was very sick, in critical condition at Nairobi Hospital, with others already claiming he was dead.

A spate of fake news targeting the First Family members has hit social media.

First were reports that President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni had been flown to Germany for specialized treatment after he allegedly suffered breathing complications.

Some unscrupulous social media users then claimed Lt Gen Kainerugaba was admitted at Kenya’s Nairobi Hospital in critical condition.

“It’s confirmed, Muhoozi Kainerugaba is admitted in Nairobi Hospital under ICU ! Prepare those suits for party after party ! ono ye agenda muloooo,” wrote a one Plus Jadwar on Twitter.

“Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba battling unknown sickness in Nairobi hospital Soon We will celebrate, Wait we’re going to be healed Pulosesi bayi Pulosesi,” tweeted Lindah Kagumire.

But Kainerugaba has dismissed rumors of his sickness and death, saying the more people declare him dead, the more God blesses him.

Noting that this was the third time he was being declared dead as a military officer, the first son confirmed he was neither suffering from Covid19 nor hospitalized.

“Some friends of mine like Alan Kassujja told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from Covid-19. I’m very well,” said Kainerugaba.

“This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming I’m dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more.”
