Mawanda welcomes Nsereko
Former parliamentary aspirant Moses Nsereko has joined the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU). Nsereko was welcomed into PLU by Michael Mawanda Maranga, the Director in charge of Mobilization at PLU.
Nsereko officially joined the PLU movement after he held high-level discussions held at the PLU Secretariat in Naguru in the capital Kampala.

Nsereko, a former Member of Parliament candidate for Kawempe North, officially crossed to join the PLU family after what leaders described as productive engagements focused on strengthening mobilization structures across Uganda and beyond.
PLU officials say the move is expected to boost grassroots support, particularly in urban constituencies, as the movement continues to expand its national footprint.
“Glad to receive Moses Nsereko into PLU after productive discussions at the Secretariat,” wrote Mawanda. “As Director of Mobilization, I see this as a major boost to our grassroots structures in Kawempe and beyond.”
Mawanda is also spearheading internal capacity-building efforts within the organization. At the Naguru-based secretariat, he convened a sensitization meeting with PLU cadres, emphasizing discipline, unity, and adherence to the core values of the movement.
During the session, cadres were equipped with key mobilization strategies and guided on maintaining professionalism and good conduct while engaging communities.
PLU leaders say such initiatives are critical in building a strong, values-driven base capable of effectively advancing the movement’s agenda across the country.
