Daring MP Tells Museveni: Give Your Son Muhoozi & Wives List of Your Properties before You Die; We Won’t Allow Them to Inherit Uganda

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has advised President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni to call his sons, daughters and wife and show them his properties so that they can stop thinking that Uganda is part of his estate and their inheritance.

Ssemujju Nganda, also the Kira Municipality, was concerned that Muhoozi and other members of the Museveni family might be thinking that Uganda was one of Museveni’s properties which they should inherit when the 77-year-old long serving Ugandan leader dies.

The MP said Muhoozi, other Museveni children and all the president’s wives must clearly realize that even when the former bush warlord has ruled the country for nearly four decades, Uganda is not his property.

“Museveni must educate his family to know that Uganda is not part of his estate that they will inherit when he eventually dies. We want to encourage Musveni to handout a list of his properties to his children and wives. Uganda is not a family property and Kainerugaba must know this,” said Ssemujju as he delivered the FDC’s position on a rumored plan to make Muhoozi succeed his father Gen Museveni.

The first son’s recently concluded 48th birthday celebrations have laid his interests in the presidency bare. With Muhoozi himself and his supporters making political statements at the parties and social media, it has become increasingly clear that the ‘Muhoozi Project’ which former spymaster Gen David Sejusa (previously Tinyefuuza) hinted on in 2013 could soon be implemented.

Ssemujju and his FDC have sworn to block any attempts by Museveni to force his son or any member of his family onto Ugandans as a successor. The MP says Museveni’s children can only inherit the president’s properties such as farms but not Uganda.

“We will mobilize the country to resist any attempt by Museveni to handle over our country to any member of his family. If they want, let them share Rwakitura and Kisozi and not Uganda,” warned the legislator.

FDC’s Ssemujju Nganda is famous for making bold statements about members of the Museveni family and top government officials. Ssemujju previously told Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja that she was not even fit to become the CEO of a garbage collecting company. (Read Story Here).

Ssemujju also recently told Museveni, his wife Janet and their son Muhoozi to stop disturbing Ugandans’ peace by blocking Kololo and Nakasero roads. (Read Story Here)
