Covid19 kills Andrew Mwenda nephew

Chris Ibaale, a nephew of controversial journalist Andrew Mujuni Mwenda has succumbed to Covid19, the deadly respiratory disease.

Ibaale is a son to Mwenda’s eldest sister Olive K Muhanga.

Medics pronounced Ibaale dead November 02 afternoon.

Mwenda described Ibaale’s death as a strike of “unparalleled tragedy!”

“Chris is slightly older than me and we grew up together almost as twins. Many people think he is one of our siblings. An incredibly smart lawyer, Chris loved life and lived it to the fullest,” said Mwenda.

“For many Ugandans playing with Covid19 this is an important lesson to try and avoid it.”

Ibaale’s death came hours after President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni used his 2021 presidential nomination speech to warn Ugandans to take Covid19 prevention guidelines seriously.
