Confirmed: Marcus leaves Next Radio amidst rumors that he has landed Vision Group top job

Marcus Kwikiriza has confirmed quitting Next Media Services’ Next Radio as rumors that he could replace sacked Robert Kabushenga as Vision Group CEO continue to swirl.

Besides his Next Radio job, Marcus was also co-hosting NBS TV’s Another Round with Gaetano Kaggwa.

He was also the station’s general manager.

Marcus confirmed he was quitting in a social media post, and wished all staff at the station well.

That means that starting next week, Next Media Services is likely to unveil Marcus’ replacement for the Next Morning Zoo, which has been co-hosting with Karitas Karisimbi.

“Karitas Karisimbi, I am gonna miss that infectious smile and energy. I’m more than confident that the team will get the best replacement on the show and keep breaking radio records. Coming out of retirement for an audiovisual radio experience was more than worth it,” wrote Marcus.

The station wished him a happy retirement.
