Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son to President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, has pushed his retirement from the army to 2030.
As we reported a few hours ago, Lt Gen Kainerugaba, also the Commander Land Forces (CLF), announced he was retiring from the army. (Read Story Here).
Government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa quickly hinted on a new journey for Kainerugaba. (Read Story Here).
But in a new twist — or rather a clarification of his earlier announcement — Kainerugaba has said he will retire in eight years’ time.
That means he will retire in 2030.
In a video in which the first son appears with veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda, he makes it clear he is not retiring any time soon.
