BIG FALL! Ankole’s Incumbent MPs Who Lost 2026 Elections

Over 10 incumbent MPs in the sub region of Ankole in Western Uganda have lost their seats in the 2026 parliamentary elections.

The list includes Francis Mwijukye, who was reelected in 2021 on the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket.

– Julius Tusiime Karuhanga: Lost Rwampara East seat to Charles Ngabirano

– Margaret Rwebyambu: Lost Mbarara District Woman MP seat to Loydah Kyarikunda Muhimbura

– Bazil Bataringaya: Lost Kashari North seat to Patrick Musinguzi

– Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari: Lost Mbarara City North seat to Christopher Bakashaba

– Ritah Atukwase Bwahika: Lost Mbarara City South seat to Charity Kibaaju Kamuhanda

– Yona Musinguzi: Lost Ntungamo Municipality seat to Alliance for National Transformation (ANT)-leaning independent Gerard Karuhanga

– Henry Nkwasibwe Zinkuratire: Lost Ruhaama County seat to Beatrice Rwakimari

– Ephraim Biraro: Lost Buhweju West seat to John Bosco Kariisa

– Muhamad Katoto: Lost Katerera County seat to Boaz Atwijukire
