Singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has reportedly described fellow singer Bobi Wine’s new car as ‘second hand,’ blaming the media for hyping the vehicle.
Bobi Wine unveiled his new car at the weekend.
He claimed the vehicle was a donation from his supporters.
“There is another group of comrades who kick-started a fundraising campaign for a bulletproof vehicle. These comrades informed me of their plan, but I thought it was an uphill task, given how expensive it is,” revealed Bobi Wine.
“A few weeks ago, these comrades surprised me when they informed me that they had succeeded in raising enough money for the vehicle, and here it is. I can’t thank you enough.”
Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine’s music industry rival for years, had kept silent on the vehicle until about one day ago.
The Gagamel boss is said to have described Bobi Wine’s car as not so sophisticated, comparing it to the one President Museveni donated to him.
“I have the same car like that of Bobi Wine but how comes that the media platforms were silent about it. They never praised it so much like they are doing on Bobi wine’s car. Don’t be fooled that it is a bullet proof car, ate temutijjisa nnyo namwe”
Bebe Cool has been quoted in several online reports as swearing that Bobi Wine’s car was not bulletproof as alleged, adding that it was a second hand from Kenya.
“Bobi Wine’s type of car when it’s new costs Shs800m but his is a second hand car so he could have bought it at any price,” he told entertainment writer Riaz Paavo.
He claims car dealer named Fauz Khalid had bought the vehicle from Kenya, adding that it had been on Nairobi roads under registration number KCY 550X.
