Army, Police Raid Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach Busabala — NUP Boss

Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine says police and military have carried out a raid on his One Love Beach Busabala. The raid on Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach Busabala was reported in the mid-morning of December 18, 2024.

Bobi Wine said that the police and military had broken the gates to One Love Beach Busabala and gained access.

The NUP leader and singer added that the army and police had pulled out security cameras. Staff at One Love Beach Busabala were being arrested, he also claimed.

Bobi Wine further reported that the military and police were throwing teargas into the kitchen to smoke out hiding employees who they wanted to arrest.

“The police and military have raided our premises at One Love Beach-Busabala, broken the gates and entered by force,” wrote Bobi Wine.

“Our CCTV cameras have been cut off and our employees are being rounded up. We’re informed that they are tear-gassing the kitchen where some employees had to run for safety.”

The raid happened a day after the NUP held a special Christmas and end of year treat at One Love Beach Busabala, bringing some smiles to the 100 children of our deceased, detained, tortured and disappeared comrades, according to the party.

This is a developing story, happening only hours after Bobi Wine was engaged in a bitter exchange online with first son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, calling him a drunkard and one having sleepless nights because of pressure from opposition. It should also be remembered that Bobi Wine’s colleague in Uganda’s opposition Dr Kizza Besigye is in prison for allegedly trying to acquire arms to remove President Yoweri Museveni from power. (See Details Here and There).
