Anita Among UK House Doubles Speaker’s Troubles as Museveni Presents Evidence to Pin Magogo’s Wife

President Yoweri Museveni has reportedly secured and presented evidence to pin Speaker Anita Among in a heated meeting at State House Entebbe as the head of state and government moves to make his final decision on the speaker race, a decision that could make or break Anita Among’s political future.

The Pearl Times has learnt that two years since Museveni demanded an explanation from Anita Among on whether she owned or rented a house in the UK, the president has taken his time to gather evidence on reports that the speaker owned a house in London.

This evidence, as provided by intelligence officers, was presented in today’s State House meeting, sources have added.

And while there is a lot of buzz on Anita Among’s reported Sh3.5bn Rolls Royce acquisition – that she reportedly claims is a birthday gift from friends – Museveni is greatly interested in the truth about Anita Among’s UK house, sources have told us.

Sources have further said that Anita Among was this Thursday, May 14, 2026 expected to meet Museveni face-to-face to answer tough questions on the UK house and allegations of corruption that were resurrected by the Rolls Royce saga.

The said house – Flat 4, Silk House, 7 Waterden Road, London, E20 3AL, United Kingdom – is a three-bedroom apartment situated in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is close to Stratford, Hackney Wick and Stratford International train stations.

The house has three double bedrooms, one self-contained, an additional modern bathroom and large open-plan kitchen living space. It also boasts of ample storage, wooden flooring, underfloor heating, high-spec appliances and a private balcony.

Her record on corruption and the parliamentary budget and how it is being used or misused were expected to be defining issues.

To show how seriously he took this matter, on May 23, 2024, Museveni wrote to Speaker Anita Among, wife to Fufa president and MP Moses Magogo, demanding answers on claims that she owned an expensive house in London.

“I have got information that is contrary to what you told me, that you, indeed, own a house in London in the form of Flat 4, Silk House, 7 Waterden Road, London, E20 3AL, United Kingdom,” wrote Museveni, further adding. “Do you own that house or are you renting it?”

Museveni then directed Jeje Odongo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs “to contact the UK Government and get details regarding this house.”

The president also told the IGG to follow up the matter.

It also emerged that Museveni held a meeting with the British High Commissioner to Uganda in which he asked about Among’s house. Writing to Odongo on May 2, 2024, the president revealed that High Commissioner Kate Airey had told him “that Anita Among has got a house or houses in UK and has got bank accounts from which she pays school fees for her children who are studying there.”

Museveni further revealed: “I told [Kate Airey] that the issue of houses would be very interesting if, especially, Anita Among did not declare them in her Leadership Code documents. If she had declared them, then the next issue would be how she got the money to build them,” Museveni said then.

“If these two are answered correctly and showing no mistake, the remaining issue would be political, ideological judgement.”

In fact, it was Kate Airey that told Museveni about the UK sanctions against Anita Among.

In response, Anita Among said she did not even own a cat in London, as detailed Here.

With Museveni questioning Anita Among’s source of wealth, if he were to settle for a compromise to keep Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa with their jobs by rallying his ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) MPs to support them, the parliamentary budget would be a key issue to discuss, with the president wanting it cut, sources have further told us.

Museveni’s son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has hinted on such monies being used to fix housing in slums of the capital Kampala.

Sources say that the meeting at State House took a break at about 4pm and more issues were expected to be discussed.

Meanwhile, a special CEC meeting was held ahead of today’s meeting between Museveni and Anita Among but the speaker’s allies were not invited. (See Details Here).
