Former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Prof Morris Ogenga Latigo has issued a warning to all Baganda politicians and any other political players from central Uganda to desist from fighting opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) leader and singer Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine or wait and see themselves being wiped off the political scene.
Recently, a political group calling itself the Democratic Alliance emerged with most of its top leaders coming from Buganda, the region that opposition leader Bobi Wine hails from.
They include former presidential candidate Samuel Walter Lubega Mukaaku, former MP Mike Mabikke, Kimanya-Kabonera MP Abed Bwanika and their leader Mathias Mpuuga, who was until this year Bobi Wine’s deputy president for Buganda and leader of the opposition in Parliament of Uganda.
Mpuuga, also the Nyendo-Mukungwe MP, has in recent months been rapping Bobi Wine, claiming that he has failed to steer the opposition in the country and that there is need for a new leadership to pile more pressure on Museveni.
But Ogenga Latigo has warned that whatever looks like an attempt to fight Bobi Wine will be met with counter efforts from the politician from Magere, and that the consequences on the youthful presidential hopeful’s attackers could be dire, especially on political careers.
The elderly politician told those Baganda planning to fight Bobi Wine to look around and see whether there is any politician that tried to fight him that are still shining on the national political stage.

Ahead of Mathias Mpuuga’s unveiling of the Democratic Alliance, Ogenga Latigo told him not to waste Ugandans’ time because he would be embarrassed and that he could only become president of Masaka. Mpuuga fired back at Ogenga Latigo, telling him he was a bitter old man. (See Details Here and There).
Mpuuga is back in the news after Museveni’s son praised him as presidential material, and attacked his nemesis Bobi Wine. (See Details Here and There).
